This Neo-Western Revenge book is my first ever Creator-Owned series. I have been writing versions of this story for over fourteen years, and I finished writing the final draft of that story last year. We have been working on this book for a long time. Ignition Press has been a tremendous and supportive publishing partner, our editorial team of Jamie S. Rich and Nora Ornstein has been incredible.
Tadd Galusha has been my creative partner on this book for a long time and has brought this book to life in ways I did not know that were possible. His character designs are heartbreakingly human, his storytelling classical and pitch perfect for this devastating story, Triona Farrell’s colors are incredible, and Clayton Cowles has long been one of the industry’s best letterers are it’s an honor to have him on this project.

Showdown #1 Variant Cover by David Lapham.
You are going to be seeing, reading, and hearing a lot more about this project from me in the days, weeks, and months ahead of our first issue release, and until our trade paperback collection comes out. I have been working my whole life towards a Creator-Owned project, and I couldn’t be happier that Showdown will be my first. This comic came from deep parts of my imagination and heart, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.
If you want to read more about it? Popverse did a great write-up on the announcement.
I will be back next week with more from my world.
Until then?
Stay safe!
