This upcoming Wednesday May 14th, 2025 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #6 will be at a comic book store near you. That comic features a back-up story written by me and drawn by the brilliant Vitor Cafaggi called “Northampton Ninja” The story takes place in Northampton, Massachusetts, a location very near and dear to my history and the history of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It’s a story I am incredibly proud of. Getting to write about a place I know so well for IDW and Nickeloeon was a huge honor, as was playing in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles world again as a writer. And the artwork on the story by Vitor…it’s one of the most beautiful comics I have had the fortune of working on in my career to date.

Take a look at a preview of the first two pages below!

The A cover by Fero Pe which reflects the A story of the issue done by the terrific team of Caleb Goellner, Omar Francia, Nelson Daniel, and Luis Antonio Delgado. The B Cover by Vitor Cafaggi which reflects our back-up story. And then the RI Cover by the team of Max Dunbar and Patricio Delpeche that reflects the main story.

Check it out, and let me know what you think when you do!

New Project Update: HELLO DARKNESS #12!

HELLO DARKNESS #12 Main Cover by Miguel Mercado. Copyright BOOM! Studios.

On July 9th 2025 BOOM! Studios releases the twelfth issue of their outstanding horror anthology comic Hello Darkness and…I have a story in it that I wrote that was drawn by my friend and collaborator Riley Rossmo. It marks my first ever published original comic story and I can tell you it’s called “Tiny, Little Men”.

This is huge news because it marks my first original story. It marks my fourth time working with Riley on a comic. And it will be the first month I have not one, but two comics come out as a writer because later in July DC’s Kal-El-Fornia Love where I have a story with artist Joey Vazquez also comes out. Great times ahead!

I want to thank editors David Mariotte and Caroline Butler for having us on board. It’s an honor to be part of such a great series, and I cannot wait to share more about the story with you. As we get closer to the book’s final order cut-off date of June 2nd, 2025, I will share more information about the story with you. And I think you can expect Riley and I to talk to each other about it on the newsletter.

The beginning of 2025 has been my busiest yet as a writer and from May onward you are going to start seeing the results of all that work and it’s exciting. Please go to your comic stores and pre-order this one, it’s going to be great.

That’s it for now, my friends.

Enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #6 on sale this Wednesday May 14th, 2025.

Go out and pre-order Hello Darkness #12 and DC’s Kal-El-Fornia Love at your local comic store so they are both there for you in July!

And as always…

Stay safe!
