I am thrilled to share that this May my next comic book comes out. It is a ten-page story in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #6. You may remember that last year I had my first ever non-DC assignment in the TMNT world on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White, & Green where I did a short story in the third issue of that anthology series with my dear friend and collaborator Riley Rossmo.
It’s an honor to be asked back to the TMNT world as a writer, especially for the story I’m writing. It follows Lita, who in the previous TMNT series was a young girl who was an Albino turtle mutant, but at the end of that series, she gets turned into a normal human girl. After that incident, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles left her in Northampton, Massachusetts, with April O’Neil’s parents so they could raise her and she would be safe while the Turtles figured out how to help Lita in the long term. When the Turtles folks told me about Lita being stuck in Northampton, Mass, a place close to where I grew up, I knew there was a story I could tell.
I will share more about it in the weeks ahead, but right now, what I can tell you is that the story is penciled, inked, and colored by a brilliant artist named Vitor Cafaggi. If you haven’t seen his work before…get ready…it’s going to floor you. This is one of the most beautiful comics I have gotten to work on yet as a writer, and I have exclusively worked with great artists. Vitor did the B cover for the issue, which you can see at the top of this post.

A reminder that next weekend from Friday, March 6th through Sunday, March 9th I will be at Emerald City Comic Con in their Artist Alley, at table O-09, which the amazing Chris Robinson offered to share with me. Chris and I will have comics, our stellar personalities, and plenty of sharpies so we can sign said comics that were mentioned earlier. I am so excited to be tabling at another convention after doing LA Comic Con this past fall. We’re going to have a great time and I am looking forward to meeting new fans and readers!
That’s it for now. I’ll see you next week.
Stay safe!
