LA Comic Con Wrap-Up

Chris Robinson and I’s LA Comic Con Set-Up

LA Comic Con was my third and final comic book convention of the year, and I had high hopes for it. I am glad to report that those high hopes were reached and exceeded. We had a great spot in Artist Alley, a very healthy amount of table traffic, and a lot of folks who came through to check out and support our books. On top of that there were so many great creators who I had worked with in the past and it was awesome to get to catch up with them.

AND I got to do some nerdy fan stuff for myself. Kamen Rider, the Japanese super hero show that I am a big fan of, has made a big push this year to reach American audiences and as a part of that push they had a booth at LA Comic Con. I took some time to go visit and it was AWESOME. They had a bunch of TV’s playing older episodes of the show, beautiful display cases full of action figures and roleplay toys, and they had awesome people running the booth.

I think I’m going to write about it in a few weeks but right now Kamen Rider: Zeztz, the most recent season of Kamen Rider, broadcasts live on Youtube every Saturday night (legally might I add) and I have been loving it. It’s the first time I have gotten to follow as it’s gone along and it’s been really fun to get to watch it that way.

A few people scanned the QR Code on my banner that takes them to this website, so if anyone who came to our table is now a reader/subscriber to the Weekly UpDave, welcome! And thanks so much for making LA Comic Con such a fantastic experience. I am already thinking about what conventions I want to do next year and I would not be shocked if I return to LA. It is where I live after all.

Until Next Time!

Until next time?

Stay safe!
